چکیده
Objectives: Micro and macrovasculopathy are common complications of undertreated or undiagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients. One the underlying factors is arterial stiffness, which may lead to cardiovascular cerebrovascular diseases. Understandably, diabetic micro affect vital functions, well-being individual. However, few studies have attempted determine cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) lipid profile separately in South Asian population examined its associations with T2DM. Moreover, there a need understand mechanistic links among risk factors. This forms basis present study. Materials Methods: T2DM patients 53–62 years age- gender-matched healthy control subjects were recruited cross-sectional observational study ( n = 30 each, eight women). Anthropometric measurements, physiological parameters such as resting heart rate, peripheral blood pressure (PBP), central (CBP), augmentation index% (AIx%), brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity II ECG for analysis rate variability recorded after obtaining consent participants. The fasting glucose also analysed. Results: Peripheral systolic was significantly higher P 0.05) Dyslipidaemia evident Atherogenic index plasma (AIP) Correlation revealed positive association between AIx% PBP CBP well AIP pressure, serum triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) very (VLDL-C) levels. found be negatively associated HF (nu). Serum TG, high-density (HDL-C) levels emerged significant independent predictors vasculopathy by multiple regression analysis. Conclusion: In study, atherogenic dyslipidaemia observed combination increased VLDL-C decreased HDL-C. index, predictor risk, dysregulation nervous system those A noninvasive, surrogate markers stiffness indicates that enhanced elevate systemic pressure. Therefore, early screening estimation profile, performed unravel vasculopathy.

Association of cardiac autonomic neuropathy with arterial stiffness in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients
BACKGROUND Diabetic patients are at the risk of cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) and arterial stiffness. This study aimed to investigate the association of heart rate variability (HRV) as an index for CAN and pulse wave velocity (PWV) as an index for arterial stiffness. METHODS Uncomplicated diabetes type-2 patients who had no apparent history of cardiovascular condition underwent HRV and P...
متن کاملPotential Association of Triglyceride Glucose Index with Cardiac Autonomic Neuropathy in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients
Cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) is a common and most neglected complication of diabetes, estimated to be roughly 8% in recently diagnosed patients and greater than 50% in patients with chronic disease history. The insulin resistance (IR) itself is bidirectionally associated with increased risk of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and CAN is a predisposing factor. The primary objective of the p...
متن کاملAssociation between the level of glycosylated hemoglobin and serum lipid profile in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by defect in insulin secretion and action resulting in hyperglycemia. Diabetic patients have deranged body metabolisms particularly for lipids which may result in abnormal levels of serum levels of lipids. Methods: The aim of this study is to find any possible correlation between the the glycosylated hemoglobin and the...
متن کاملCarotid intima-media thickness in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with cardiac autonomic neuropathy.
INTRODUCTION Cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) is an important complication of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Accelerated atherosclerosis is also common in T2DM. Carotid intima media thickness (CIMT) is a surrogate marker of atherosclerosis. We conducted a study to assess the CIMT in T2DM patients with CAN. METHODS In 84 T2DM patients cardiac autonomic function was assessed by five clinica...
متن کاملCardiac autonomic neuropathy in patients with diabetes mellitus: current perspectives
Cardiac autonomic neuropathy (CAN) is a common and often-underdiagnosed complication of diabetes mellitus (DM). CAN is associated with increased mortality, cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, and morbidity in patients with DM, but despite these significant consequences CAN often remains undiagnosed for a prolonged period. This is commonly due to the disease being asymptomatic until ...
